6 Basic Steps On How To Do Your Keyword Research On Google
Keyword research is an important part of (SEO) Search Engine Optimization. As an entrepreneur, you should know that it’s not only important to write great content but also make sure the content you’re writing about bout has a lot of keyword relevancy to make sure that Google and other search engines are ranking your websites and articles in high search volume.
I’m going to give you step by step instructions on how to go about doing your keyword research properly. Please keep in mind that I’m not an SEO expert, I m only showing you the way I do my keyword research that’s been very effective and have many of my articles ranking on the first page of Google.
1. Think of the phrase that your customer would put in the search engine to look for your services or whatever topic you are trying to cover on your website or articles.
2. Go to iGoogle. Start typing in keywords people may use to find your content or product. As you start to type in the keywords, Google will automatically list popular keyword phrases many people are searching for. You can also go to Google’s regular search engine and get the same results. After entering the keyword or keyword phrases, hit enter for the results list. Google will list the number of search results for your query.
3. To really evaluate your competitors, you want to use quotation mark with your keywords. For example, let’s say you want to target people who wants to play guitar. In that case, you would put “How to play Guitar” in the Google search bar so you can see how many results to get. These results are more specific and you can determine how heavy your competition is that particular keyword.
4. After you have come up with some keywords and keyword phrases, go to Google Adwords Keyword Tool. The link is below. Type in one your keywords or keyword phrases. Fill in the captcha and click “get keyword ideas”. Google will populate a list of relevant keyword phrases with their monthly search volume. Click “CPC” from the “choose columns to display” drop box for the amount of money advertisers are paying for clicks on their keywords and keyword phrases.
5. In other to decide on a particular keyword phrase, you need to look for Google keyword phrases that have a decent amount of volume. If you are marketing towards a niche topic, you will want to use the keywords and keyword phrases that have the highest Google search volume. If you are using keywords or keyword phrases that have an extremely high search volume, there will be a lot of competition and it will probably be difficult for your web site or article to rank high on Google.
6. Get Google keyword research ideas and keyword phrase suggestions on Free Word Tracker. Free Word Tracker will list the top keyword phases for any keyword. Furthermore, it will also list how many times people are searching for the keyword or keyword phrase each day. Use Free Word Tracker’s keyword and keyword phrases to input on Google Ad words Keyword Tool.
