A belief is nothing more than a feeling of absolute certainty about what something means. What we believe shape our behavior. Beliefs can be conscious or unconscious and often stem from things we’ve heard, seen, felt a lot of emotion about and then repeated to ourselves over and over again.

I cannot tell enough you how important this is because for years I have struggle in my business and never could figure out why.  I know that I have done what I was supposed to do daily but still could not rip any rewards.   I have copied the exact step of my mentor in the way he did things and still could not even come close to what he was accomplishing. Man…  I felt frustrated, angry, disappointed, and resentful and all emotions you could imagined.  Then one day I decided to start looking for answers and find out what was keeping me from accomplishing my dreams.  I went to a life coaching seminar and I finally realize that I was the one stopping my success through my own limiting belief. In other word there was conflicted belief that I had about my business and that’s what was causing me to fail. In one hand I am doing all the activities to get my business to grow and on the other hand I’m thinking this probably will never work and that belief was far more stronger than whatever  effort  I was putting in. I always heard people saying that we are the one limiting ourselves but I never really understood how until it was explained to me in details.

I have come to understand that everything we think or do is a cause in motion. Every one of our thoughts and actions is going to have an effect or result in our lives. Our results begin to “stack up” to take our lives in a particular direction. The reason why most people don’t change is because we rationalize things we tell ourselves stories, and lie to ourselves to make us feel better.   We give ourselves reason not to do something for example we rationalize by saying things like “ I don’t have the time”  “Well I am tired I’ll do it tomorrow”,  “this is too hard” Or this cost too much “ etc. We fell into this trap over and over again and if you can identify with my experience, here is one exercise you can do to help guide you get over this cycle.

Take a piece of paper and start writing down all Old belief that you have about a certain area in your life.   To do this exercise you really need to be honest with yourself

For example lets use” Make money online” Although you may be working online but deep down inside your belief may be “It’s hard to make money Online” whether you realize it or not that belief may be so strong in your subconscious mind that whatever you do does not pull through for you and therefore start rationalizing which drives you to procrastinate on certain task.

The way to change that is to reverse that belief and Write down the new belief that will empower you from this point forward.   Using that same example..: instead of believing “It’s hard to make money online” reverse it with “It’s harder NOT TO make money online”

Another example of old beliefs could be:” It’s difficult to lose 10Lbs”   Replace it with “it’s even worse or more difficult if I don’t lose that 10lbs because it drains my energy “or I can’t afford not  to lose that extra 10lbs I must work at it until it’s done “

Start repeating your new belief to yourself daily until it becomes real and it starts to come naturally for you. Make all your new belief a MUST so that you can take action that corresponds with what you believe in.
