Overcoming Fear of Failure and Taking Risk
Most entrepreneurs fail at least once if not a dozen times. The characteristic that defines a successful entrepreneur is how you handle failure. Most people always have some anxiety when starting something new and that’s normal. Honestly if you are not scared a little , your goals probably are not worth much. The only way to overcome your fear of failure is to have the courage to face it and you face it by taking actions. What separates the successful people from those who are not is that they are risk takers. The risk takers have the belief that the “unknown” is not a place to avoid. Fear of failure should be use as a motivation to want to know the outcome. The best thing to do is to use that same fear as a drive to take risk and get it done even if the outcome does not measure your expectations.
Refuse to be daunted by the unknown, have a strong vision and take massive actions. Yes I promised you along the way you are going to make mistakes , some big, some small but don’t worry about those mistakes because it equals experience for you. Falling short does not mean you should stop, if you embrace failures along with successes, learning from each and trying again, you are bound to grow and flourish.
Take a leap of faith – faith in yourself to overcome any obstacle, any problem, any situation. Have the courage to really live life, and if you occasionally fail, just get up, dust yourself off, and try again. Each of us has the will and courage to succeed, it’s simply not recognizing that fact that sometimes stands in our way.
